Our beginnings
Founded in 1947 and formerly known as the Greater Lawrence Council of Churches, Communities Together, Inc. is a collaborative of faith communities of Andover, Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover.
The organization provides and supports many community programs that are beyond the means of any individual congregation.
In addition, Communities Together works closely with many local organizations that provide support in the Greater Lawrence area such as Neighbors in Need, Community Inroads, Community Giving Tree, Lazarus House, the Lawrence Public School System, and Merrimack College.

The organization draws on the generosity of the faith community to address specific needs of the Greater Lawrence community and, in particular, the needs of the children in the City of Lawrence.
Communities Together gratefully receives support from a number of foundations and charitable trusts to address the needs of families within the Greater Lawrence area.
