Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Director of Communication and Business Administration is accountable for carrying out the mission and vision of the organization.  The incumbent is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and publication of the organization’s ministry programs and effective management of accounting policies and procedures.


  • Prepares and submits annual reports to Commonwealth and IRS;
  • Organizes, plans and prepares the Annual Report for the Organizational Annual Meeting;
  • Oversees accounting policies, procedures and reporting; ensures that funds are expended in accordance with Federal, Commonwealth and organizational guidelines;
  • Plans, coordinates and publicizes the annual Lenten Services, National Day of Prayer, Interfaith Thanksgiving Service and Prayer Shawl Tea to engage the Greater Lawrence community in witnessing to the unity of Christ’s love;
  • Plans for the annual Vacation Bible School sessions held throughout Lawrence; communicates with church VBS Directors regarding their participation and in the selection of the program;
  • Orders and delivers all supplies needed for each church for VBS; receives feedback following the completion of the summer series;
  • Communicates effectively with all constituents via email, social media and USPS on a regular basis;
  • Represents the organization as a participant in various programs and events throughout the Greater Lawrence area;
  • Collaborates with and provides assistance to the Coordinator of the annual Undie Sundays diaper and children’s underwear drive to increase awareness of the needs within the Greater Lawrence area and to ensure the success of the initiative;
  • Supports the organization’s part-time chaplaincy ministry at Holy Family Hospital through the maintenance of the relationship with Steward Health and with the chaplains.
  • Works with and supervises the Administrative Assistant in the performance of all administrative tasks to ensure adherence to customarily accepted management practices and effective communication methods.


  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of and experience in a nonprofit setting
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and budget preparation
  • Evidence of connections within the faith community
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a variety of mediums
  • A Bachelor or Masters degree in business, education or social work
